Our ratafias
Ratafias
Amber or Rosé
A gourmet pleasure, as an aperitif or digestive
M.Marcoult dusts off this historical alcohol! A blend of Fine de la Marne and grape juice, aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 24 months. The most aromatic grape juice - the one coming from the last press of the grapes called the rebêche - contributes to the assembly of M.Marcoult Ratafia. The Chardonnay is used as a base for the amber Ratafia and the Pinot Noir as a base for the rosé Ratafia, hence its natural amaranth color. Our Ratafia is unfiltered.
Artisanal Distillery
A quality alcohol
An iron distillation at the village forge
Loïc, a former blacksmith and distiller from the village of Barbonne-Fayel, produces an incredibly aromatic alcohol called Fine de la Marne. He distills by ironing over a wood fire, with 3 copper stills, one of which is a 350L Coyac still in use since 1951. This technique allows a soft distillation to obtain a quality alcohol. Once distilled, we let it age in oak barrels and in Dame Jeanne, to develop its full aromatic range.
Eco-responsible
A well-balanced cap
made of grape marc, unique and eco-friendly
Even the cork is not a detail for the Marcoults, they opted for natural cork, with a head made of grape marc residue, entirely natural, from the distillation process. The safety band that caps the cork is even made of recycled paper, in order to push the cork even further?
