for true lovers

Choosing Champagne M.Marcoult means trusting the most passionate winegrower of the Sézanne region and adhering to an eco-responsible philosophy supported by an original and innovative approach. The Marcoults are wine makers who have cherished their terroir since 1967. For Florence as for Julien, balance and tension are what is important in the divine wine, because a good champagne is above all a good wine. Florence and Julien

epicureans at heart, vineyards at the heart

Julien and Florence, two epicureans in love with their region who seek quality as much in their production as in their daily life, by consuming locally as much as possible. Julien, rooted in his land, is the third generation of winegrower in the Marcoult family. Florence, trained as a hotelier and from the Champagne region by adoption, has a particular interest in everything related to gastronomy and wine. M.Marcoult, in short: true enthusiasts who spare no effort to offer a bubble made from the heart for true wine lovers!

Philosophy

eco-responsibility

OUR LAND, OUR WEALTH, OUR RESPONSIBILITY

We make it a point of honor to respect the ecosystem by favoring sustainable viticulture. We are proud to be certified H.V.E. by the Ministry of Agriculture. We love and value our terroir. Self-sufficient in electricity on the vineyard, we practice grassing (with our agricultural wheat production) as well as annual eco-pasturing with our shepherd and his "Brebis Green" sheep. We test the "best practices" of organic winemaking, and are attentive to our environmental impact.

Convictions

From wood to cellar

Surround yourself with the best craftsmen

We select our oak and acacia trees in the state forest of La Traconne, less than 5 km from our home, with our cooper. Then our logs are transformed into staves, then into barrels, with our Master cooper (M.O.F. 2007) at the Tonnellerie de Champagne. Made to measure according to our requirements of shape, capacity and toasting, they are validated by our nose. From the creation of our barrels, all the Marcoult's know-how and their passion are fully expressed.

Our certifications

Committed producer

Independent winemaker

Committed for a long time to the preservation of our terroir and the defense of our profession, we adhere to the Charter of Independent Winegrowers. Thus, we entirely elaborate our vintages in our own cellar and vinify exclusively the harvest of our domain.

Our estate is certified HVE (High Environmental Value) by the Ministry of Agriculture. We take care to limit our impact on the environment.

We preserve the natural ecosystem by favoring sustainable viticulture and promote biodiversity. We respect sensitive areas, we do not use insecticides and we under-dose the products by using a maximum of those approved in organic viticulture. We keep our vines grassed, our soils are worked.

Three projects have been co-financed by the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development:

  • Setting up communication tools, redesigning the website, and creating photo content Champagne M.Marcoult
  • Redevelopment of the cellar: harmonization with the new graphic identity, improved reception (tasting hall, VIP lounge, installation of a screen, sound and video system).
  • The acquisition of interceps enabling us to weed our soils mechanically (as part of our efforts to protect the environment in the winegrowing sector, and reduce the use of phytosanitary products and tillage).
